Good Readers and Good Writers writing

When reading the writing by Nabokov, “Good Readers and Good Writers,” the author seemed to be hinting that there are very few people who are capable of being good readers or writers. Nabokov made a comment that good readers and writers need to be more like geniuses than normal people. In some instances, I do agree with this 100%. I feel that, in order to obtain the status of being a good writer, you need to be better than ordinary. Authors that are well known are great authors, but the authors that are known centuries after their death are the ones that will be better known. These people seem to have a genius intelligence of some sort. Although, in their writings it may not be evident, they have a great imagination, or they are excellent at details. I believe this is the main point made in the case of good writers by Nabokov.
Good readers, according to Nabokov, are the ones that re-read rather than just read once and let it go. These people seem to be able to pick more up upon reading something a second, third, or even fourth time that a normal person would not see in the original scanning of the document. Looking at how I learn, I would have to agree with this. In my personal experience, I learn more when I read something multiple times. This has been made evident when I read a specific passage of the Bible multiple times. I learn more as I read more. Repetition is a major part in learning.
